Just got this e-mail from the Empire State Pride Agenda:
We have just learned that the marriage bill will be brought to the floor of the New York State Senate for a debate and vote today.

In addition, if you live near Albany, you can head to the Capitol to watch the action in person in the Senate gallery.
Whether it’s online, on TV or in person, don’t miss this chance to witness this historic event!ETA:
And from Courage Campaign:
The day many New Yorkers have longed for has arrived.
The New York Senate just moved to debate -- and then immediately vote on -- the marriage equality bill.
There will be four hours of debate, prior to the vote and according to our friends on the inside, signs are looking good for passage.
The Assembly last night passed an identical bill during the special session. Now we need the Senate to pass the bill. Then it is on to Governor Patterson for his promised signature.
Before the Senate vote happens, please make a last-minute call to your State Senator and urge them to vote for marriage equality by using this easy "click-to-call" tool from our friends at New York for Equality:

Follow the proceedings live by streaming video from the Senate Majority's website:
http://www.nysenate.gov/initiative/marriage-equalityIf you are on Twitter, @NYSenate will be live-tweeting from the floor.
Your calls today could make marriage equality history. Thank you for taking action.

ETA2: It's happening right now, this very second; they've finally gotten to it!
http://www.nysenate.gov/mediaI will be so crushed if this doesn't go well. I'm not a really optimistic person by nature, but this *has* to happen. It just has to.
ETA3: Just updating with my thoughts as I watch this.
I just have to say that Senator Eric Schneiderman's speech was just amazing. I hope things keep going this way--with Senators passionately speaking for equality. I hope speeches like this are a reflection of the way the vote will go.
Wow, all these guys are doing so well. I'm keeping a list of who makes a speech, and which way they're going. I'll post that when it's all done and over with.
